go-e Controller – an intelligent extension for your wallbox

The Go-e Controller is an advanced device that significantly expands the capabilities of the go-e Charger Gemini wallbox. It brings two essential functions that take home charging of electric vehicles to a higher level.

The biggest benefit is charging exclusively from photovoltaic surpluses. This means you can charge your electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid only from solar energy, without drawing electricity from the grid. The result is extremely economical operation and maximum use of your own energy production. The electricity produced is consumed directly on site, increasing the return on investment in photovoltaics.

At the same time, the need for a physical battery is reduced, because the energy is not stored, but consumed immediately. This limits its cycling and extends its lifespan. There is also less need for a virtual battery, which means lower distribution fees and other savings.

Charging from photovoltaic surpluses without worries

The Go-e Controller uses current transformers and a smart meter to monitor current production, consumption and surplus energy. This data is then sent to the wallbox, which automatically adapts charging to the available energy.

All generated electricity can then be directed directly to the vehicle without manual intervention. The function can be flexibly switched on or adjusted according to your needs, so that you always have enough energy for your next trip.

Dynamic power control in the home

Another important function is the intelligent control of charging power according to the current load in the home or the point of consumption. The device continuously monitors the consumption of other appliances and adjusts the charging power as needed.

If an energy-intensive device, such as a washing machine, stove or heat pump, is turned on during charging, the wallbox automatically reduces the power. This prevents overloading the electrical installation and tripping the main circuit breaker.

Broad compatibility without interfering with the PV

The Go-e Controller connects directly to the distribution board and works with alternating current, making it compatible with virtually all photovoltaic systems and inverters. Since it does not connect directly to the inverter or battery, it does not require intervention in the existing installation and does not affect warranties.

Flexible connection - wireless and wired

The device supports wireless communication via Wi-Fi with a range of tens of meters, which you will appreciate especially in more complex electrical installations. Alternatively, a stable wired connection via Ethernet (RJ45) is also possible.
